The Process of Powder Coating

What We Do For Our Customers

Our Step-by-Step Process

01

Surface Preparation

Every project starts with proper surface preparation. Parts are inspected, cleaned, degreased, and stripped if necessary to remove paint, rust, oils, and contamination. Depending on the condition and material, we use sandblasting or mechanical prep to create a clean surface profile for maximum adhesion.

02

Masking & Prep

After prep, parts are thoroughly cleaned and dried before coating. Any areas that must remain uncoated are masked using high-temperature tape and plugs.

03

Powder Application

Powder is then electrostatically applied using professional spray equipment. The charged powder bonds evenly to the grounded metal surface, creating consistent coverage and strong edge protection.

04

Curing & Inspection

Once coated, parts are cured in a temperature-controlled oven. During curing, the powder melts, flows out, and chemically crosslinks into a durable finish resistant to corrosion, chemicals, UV exposure, and impact. After curing, parts are inspected for coverage, finish quality, and durability before being packaged or prepared for pickup.
